Employment Law

In Singapore, the Employment Act (Chapter 91 of the Singapore Statutes) regulates the relationship between both employers and employees. It provides for the basic terms and conditions at work for employees covered under the Employment Act.

Generally, most employees working in service for an employer is covered under this Act. However, not everyone working in Singapore is covered by this statute, such as seafarers, civil servants, statutory board employees and domestic workers.

If you are any of the following:

  • an employee that wishes to exercise your rights
  • an employer that wishes to understand your rights
  • if you wish to draft employment contracts
